Before law, Rod spent more than 25 years in senior engineering and management roles, including building and selling his own IT business to a listed Australian company. He has negotiated contracts, managed teams and dealt with high‑stakes decisions from the inside.

Since his admission in 2019 (Bachelor of Laws with Distinction), he has worked across commercial and business disputes, employment law, family law and general civil litigation in courts and tribunals including the Supreme Court of Victoria, County Court, Magistrates’ Court, Federal Courts, the Fair Work Commission and VCAT.
